Not I

Just a quick little look into blacking out faces, excepting the mouth. I really like the idea that one of the tv screens would feature 2 mouths, possibly speaking over each other.

Of course another possibility is that all of the tv screens would feature 2 mouths conversing, that would set the whole concept further from merely being a retelling and would better include my theme of "Spaces in Conversation".

Just a simple fold out of screen shots from "Not I", beside it I want to put a series of photos of my own mouth.

The Mouth

Grove, 10/10/12, 20:46

Just looking into lips, I've been looking into "Not I" by Samuel Beckett where the concentration is on the mouth so I just did a quick study of my own mouth.

In the picture on the left both drawings were done by layering, pencil, chalk, pen and colouring pencil on top of an imprint of my lips left by lipstick.

Not I

14:33, Studio 12, 4/10/12

After a tutorial with Mike Fox he suggested I take on Samuel Beckett's "Not I", basically composing of a room set up with 4 tvs showing only mouths visible voicing chosen scripts  with ambient sound being broadcast among it.
