Christian Boltanski
Roisin suggested Christian Boltanski to me because she thought one of my sketches looked like a piece of his but when I went to research him I was blown away by how alike his work is to my project, the jackets, recordings, shadow, everything.
Here is an interview given by Boltanski with Sarah Rosenbaum-Kranson:

No Man's Land is a piece by Christian Boltanski about mortality using discarded clothing and recordings of peoples heartbeats, this is the kind of impact I want my piece to have but on a smaller scale.
Here is a description of the exhibition given in the guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/2010/jan/13/christain-boltanski-grand-palais-paris
| CHRISTIAN BOLTANSKI "La vie possible" 15 May – 06 September 2009 This is the piece that reminded Roisin of my sketches and I am now looking at incorporating cast shadows into my work. |
